New Objet was created to revive the slowly fading industry of artisanship.
During the 19th century, luxury experienced a shift towards modernity while still maintaining its artisanal essence. The Industrial Revolution then revolutionized the production of luxury goods and mechanizing processes like textile and silk manufacturing. By the end of the second world war, many expert craftsman, especially in Europe, had moved on while cities rebuilt and manufacturing became more practical.
Our goal at New Objet is the find designers and artists around the world who embody the same ideologies of the early artisans and craftsman.

Every Anise piece has a history — from the relationship with the artisan, to the life of the wearer. We design each of our collections with the intention of creating pieces that can be passed down through generations, with minimal waste and minimal carbon footprint. Our jewelry is all made by local artisans based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with expertise in traditional methods of crafting jewelry by hand.
